At The Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G), several Vietnamese startups were selected to receive support aimed at promoting innovative solutions for green transition and sustainable development. The program focused on key sectors such as recycling, circular economy, renewable energy, green transportation, and smart agriculture—contributing to the national green growth agenda.
Six outstanding Vietnamese startups out of the total eight startups were selected to receive grant funding from the program including: AirX Carbon, Alternō, EBOOST, Stride, BUYO and Enfarm. Each startup represents a unique and innovative approach in core areas, demonstrating the creativity and international integration of the Vietnamese startup ecosystem.
AirX Carbon stood out with its initiative to produce environmentally friendly pallets from agricultural waste such as coconut husks and rice husks. The startup received a grant of USD 350,000 from P4G, along with technical assistance from the organization Action on Poverty (Australia), to scale up production and expand into global markets.
Alternō developed a thermal energy storage solution using sand batteries, applied effectively in the drying of agricultural products, which helps reduce energy costs and emissions. The company received USD 357,000 in funding and partnered with international organizations such as ASSIST (Philippines), JICA (Japan), and Temasek Foundation (Singapore) to scale its solution nationwide.
In the green transportation sector, EBOOST is developing a smart electric vehicle charging station system, integrated with modern management technology. With a USD 350,000 grant from P4G and support from ASSIST and private sector partners, EBOOST is expanding its charging infrastructure across urban areas and commercial centers.
Stride offers rooftop solar energy solutions with flexible service packages tailored to households and small businesses. The startup received a USD 350,000 grant and is working with partners such as New Energy Nexus and ASSIST to help establish technical standards and foster the growth of the clean energy market.
In addition, startups such as BUYO, Enfarm have been highly evaluated under the P4G 2025 initiative. BUYO is developing biodegradable bioplastic materials made from bagasse and beer residue to replace conventional plastics. Enfarm offers digital agriculture solutions to help farming households optimize production. These initiatives are recognized not only for their high applicability but also for their strong commitment to sustainable business models and readiness for international collaboration.
The startups supported under P4G share common characteristics: the application of advanced technologies, flexible business models, and strong potential for international market expansion. Notably, their solutions address practical economic and societal needs while aligning closely with the goals of green and sustainable development. Participation in the P4G network enables these startups to access financial resources, technical expertise, and strategic partnerships, while requiring them to meet high standards of transparency, environmental compliance, and adherence to environmental-social-governance (ESG) principles. Moreover, they are expected to implement scalable, impactful, and innovation-driven business models.
The P4G Forum 2025 serves as a vital launching pad for Vietnamese startups to reach the global innovation landscape and make meaningful contributions to the nation’s sustainable development goals.
The Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit was established in 2017 based on an initiative by the Government of Denmark, evolving from its predecessor—the Global Green Growth Forum (3GF). To date, the P4G platform comprises 12 core member countries: Denmark, Chile, Mexico, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and South Africa. In addition, it enjoys participation from over 90 countries, international organizations, and private sector entities. Vietnam is one of the seven founding members, a formal partner of P4G, and will proudly host the 4th P4G Summit in 2025. Recognized as a leading global platform for advancing public–private partnerships, P4G connects governments, businesses, and civil society organizations to jointly propose breakthrough solutions for green growth. These efforts contribute meaningfully to the realization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). P4G support to its partner countries primarily takes the form of public–private cooperation, offering both financial and technical assistance to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises implementing climate action initiatives. As part of the P4G Summit 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) will host the Policy Dialogue Forum on Promoting Investment and Business Growth for Startups in Green Transition and Sustainable Development. The event, coordinated by the National Startup Support Center, will bring together leading experts, policymakers, businesses, investment funds and startups from Vietnam and around the world to share experiences, propose solutions for fostering a sustainable startup ecosystem and explore collaboration opportunities. |
