BATx is an innovative startup based in Latin America, established to address the issue of electric vehicle battery resource waste and to promote a circular economy model. Arising from the fact that 70% of electric vehicle batteries in the region are discarded prematurely despite still having usable value, the company recognized the significant potential in recovering and recycling lithium-ion batteries.
From its early days, BATx focused on developing technology to process used batteries, converting them into low-cost energy storage systems. The products are widely applied for households, industrial zones, and especially in off-grid areas where the demand for clean and sustainable energy is increasingly growing.
In a short period of time, BATx has achieved impressive milestones: their solution helps reduce energy storage costs by up to 40%, saves more than 80 MWh of electricity, reuses over 10 tons of hazardous waste, and prevents more than 246 tons of CO₂ emissions into the environment. Beyond that, BATx has also made positive contributions to society by creating many new job opportunities while supporting the development of clean energy infrastructure in the Latin American region.
BATx’s business model not only delivers economic efficiency but also carries significant environmental value. This startup is gradually expanding its operations, partnering with various players in the renewable energy sector and nonprofit organizations to replicate its battery recycling model across the region and beyond.
At the P4G Summit Vietnam 2025, BATx presented its electric vehicle battery reuse solution in the startup exhibition space, attracting attention from many domestic and international organizations. This activity was supported by the National Startup Support Center (NSSC). At the same time, the event provided BATx with opportunities to connect with potential investors and partners through the investment connection program, expanding opportunities for collaboration and international market development.
Thanks to its innovative approach and long-term vision, BATx has become a symbol of the green startup wave in Latin America, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable energy transition and minimizing negative impacts on the planet.
