BINKS Develops Writing Ink and Paint from Leftover Vegetables

BINKS is a green startup from Vietnam, pioneering the development of coloring and writing products made from discarded fruits and vegetables, as an alternative to conventional products containing harmful chemicals that pose risks to human health—especially for children in educational environments. After more than two years of research, BINKS has not only perfected an eco-friendly production process but also earned key quality certifications, reinforcing consumer trust both domestically and internationally.

In 2024, BINKS proudly represented Vietnam and received an award at the Management Grand Awards in South Korea, affirming the global recognition and creative value of Vietnam’s green startup model. Moving forward, BINKS is expanding into the Chinese and European markets, while implementing a green commerce strategy with eco-friendly packaging and a sustainable distribution model.

Participation in the P4G Vietnam Summit 2025 provided BINKS with broader access to international networks in green innovation and sustainable consumption. With the support of the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), BINKS not only introduced its vegetable-based inks and paints to a global audience, but also connected with investors and educational organizations interested in safe and environmentally responsible solutions for children and schools.

BINKS’ initiative not only helps reduce food waste but also promotes safer consumer practices and inspires environmental education from early schooling. It stands as a clear example of how a simple yet innovative idea can generate meaningful impact on public health, education, and sustainable economic development.
