Gempacs and Sustainable Waterway Transport Electrification Solutions

Gempacs is a green technology startup founded with the goal of providing comprehensive electrification solutions for the maritime transport industry. Starting from Indonesia, Gempacs quickly expanded into Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, to promote sustainable development for the maritime sector.

Known for its advanced technology, Gempacs offers a solution to replace costly and polluting internal combustion engines with cutting-edge electric motors, energy batteries, and solar panels installed on ships. One of the standout features of Gempacs is its smart tracking software system, which allows operators to easily monitor the journey, battery levels, and the amount of emissions reduced. Additionally, the startup has set up charging stations at ports, integrated with an IoT platform to optimize operations and protect the environment.

With a long-term vision, the company aims to replace 75,000 vessels within the next five years, contributing to the reduction of millions of tons of CO2 emissions. This not only helps reduce environmental pollution but also promotes a more sustainable, inclusive, and greener blue economy for coastal communities.

At the P4G Vietnam Summit 2025, Gempacs showcased its electrification solutions for maritime transport, attracting the attention of international organizations and investors in the region. With support from the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), the startup had the opportunity to connect with strategic partners, expand its collaboration network, and develop international markets. The event not only attracted investor interest but also provided the opportunity to access critical resources to achieve the goal of replacing 75,000 vessels and contribute to the sustainable development of the maritime industry.

With a strong development strategy, Gempacs is contributing to a clean and sustainable future for the maritime transport industry in Southeast Asia and related regions.
