Medlink is an innovative platform that directly connects pharmaceutical companies with intentions, aiming to streamline the distribution process of over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and functional foods. By leveraging advanced technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence, Medlink offers an online platform for pharmaceutical companies to manage sales teams, customers, and products, while effectively can use a smartphone application to receive and place orders directly with manufacturers.
Globally, the pharmaceutical industry has been rapidly adopting digital solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. In Vietnam, the traditional distribution model often involves significant expenses, with distribution costs accounting for approximately 35% of a company’s profit, equating to around $1.6 billion annually. Medlink’s technology addresses these challenges by reducing distribution expenses and empowers with tools to proactively engage customers beyond direct in-store sales.
Since its inception in early 2018, Medlink has achieved notable milestones. The platform secured a position among the Top 3 projects at Techfest Vietnam’s Contest 2018 and emerged as the champion of the VietChallenge 2019 global startup competition, receiving a $25,000 prize. As of September 2018, Medlink had connected with six pharmaceutical companies and nearly 1,500 pharmaceutical companies, with plans to expand its reach both domestically and internationally.
