Residua Biocircular, with its insect-based agricultural waste conversion model, is a biotech startup founded in Latin America and a pioneer in applying circular economy principles to address the growing industrial organic waste crisis in the region. The company has developed a technology that uses insects to transform agricultural and food industry byproducts into three core products: animal feed protein powder, nutritional oil, and organic fertilizer for soil regeneration.
Residua’s solution significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional protein supply chains such as soy and fishmeal, while also replacing unsustainable livestock feed sources with an environmentally friendly alternative. At the same time, this biological conversion process generates high-value end products that contribute to soil health, extend the agricultural production lifecycle, and foster the development of a green value chain.
By participating in the P4G Vietnam Summit 2025, Residua Biocircular gained deeper access to global networks of investment, research, and development in the circular economy sector. The event, co-organized by the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), enabled the company to strengthen its international brand presence and forge new partnerships with stakeholders seeking effective organic waste recycling solutions.
Residua’s circular economy model provides a sustainable alternative to conventional animal feed, improves soil health, and enhances production efficiency. The company has already achieved commercial revenue, secured trade agreements with major agribusiness corporations, and successfully implemented several pilot projects.
