SaBio is a biotechnology startup founded in Colombia, aiming to address the urgent issue of agricultural land degradation by integrating soil microbiology, agronomic data, and artificial intelligence technologies. In a country where over half of the arable land is severely degraded due to erosion, desertification, and soil compaction, SaBio offers comprehensive land restoration services for farmers and agribusinesses.
SaBio’s solution consists of three main components: soil quality diagnostics, customized biological inputs, and continuous technical consulting via an AI-powered platform. These services enable farmers to increase crop yields, reduce input costs, and minimize the use of harmful chemicals. Beyond individual farms, SaBio also supports enterprises in building climate-resilient agricultural supply chains that align with modern environmental standards.
At the P4G Vietnam Summit 2025, SaBio had the opportunity to present its data-driven, microbial-based land restoration solution to the international community and connect with partners interested in climate-adaptive agricultural models. With the support of the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), SaBio was able to expand its network across the Asia–Pacific region, engage with strategic investors, and gain insights from other innovative models in the sustainable agriculture space.
SaBio’s model has been highly regarded for its feasibility, scalability, and long-term economic impact. The company is steadily expanding its services across Latin America, working toward the vision of an environmentally friendly agricultural system that begins where it matters most—with the soil.
