Zhana Solutions is an environmental technology startup from Colombia, specializing in developing wastewater treatment and grease recycling solutions for industrial kitchens. Aiming to reduce pollution and promote the development of renewable energy, Zhana Solutions created the G-Trap technology – an advanced system capable of separating up to 99% of grease from wastewater.
Unlike traditional methods, the G-Trap technology does not use chemicals, saves energy, and helps businesses minimize operational costs. The grease recovered from the treatment process can be recycled into raw materials for biodiesel production, thus creating additional economic value and reducing environmental burden.
Thus far, the company has successfully deployed the G-Trap technology in more than 25 cities across Colombia and has partnered with major brands such as KFC, Hyatt, and Crepes & Waffles. Beyond the domestic market, the startup has actively participated in international programs like Climate Launchpad and received funding from the P4G initiative to scale up its operations.
At the P4G Summit Vietnam 2025, with the support of the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), Zhana Solutions organized an exhibition booth to showcase its eco-friendly wastewater treatment and grease recycling solutions. This event also provided an opportunity for the startup to connect with international investors and partners, seeking to expand its model to global markets.
Zhana Solutions’ innovative model is not only easy to apply but also has strong potential for scaling up, generating positive impacts for both the environment and the community. By combining technological innovation with a sustainable development vision, Zhana Solutions is gradually affirming its pioneering role in the field of wastewater treatment and resource recycling both regionally and globally.
