With groundbreaking innovations, this year’s Startup Runway competition aims to build a comprehensive platform for practical innovation and entrepreneurship. Startup Runway 2025 not only focuses on discovering innovative ideas but also emphasizes entrepreneurial mindset training, equipping students and pupils with practical knowledge of innovation, technology application in business, and building sustainable startup models.
A notable highlight of Startup Runway 2025 is the strong collaboration from the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, the City Youth Union, the Young Entrepreneurs Association, and the Da Nang Startup Support Network. Together, they are creating a more comprehensive and effective startup support ecosystem than ever before—especially as the University of Danang and the national education system actively implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation, and digital transformation.
Participating organizations are not only involved in training but also support the connection of startup projects with investors, consultants, enterprises, and support institutions. As a result, competing teams are not limited to idea formation but are given real opportunities to materialize and test their business models.
Associate Professor Dr. Võ Thị Thúy Anh, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the Council of the University of Economics – the University of Danang, stated that building on the success of previous years, Startup Runway 2025 not only promotes and identifies innovative startup ideas among students but also creates opportunities for young people to be trained and develop their mindset and skills to apply technology in building sustainable business models in the digital age.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thục, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, highly appreciated the University of Economics – the University of Danang for its contributions to scientific research and innovation, as well as the effectiveness and widespread impact of the Startup Runway competition.
Startup Runway 2025 also serves as the kickoff event in a series of programs celebrating the 50th anniversary of the University of Economics – the University of Danang. Following this, in March 2025, the university will organize innovation and entrepreneurship training courses for high school teachers across the city, aiming to raise awareness, enhance skillsets, and contribute to completing the local startup ecosystem within the education sector.
