Promote innovative startups in a university environment

On June 12, 2025, in Hanoi, the National Startup Support Center (NSSC) and FPT University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aiming to build and develop the innovative startup ecosystem within the higher education environment.

Attending and witnessing the signing ceremony were Mr. Le Toan Thang – Deputy Director of NSSC and Mr. Ta Ngoc Cau – Deputy Director of FPT University, Hanoi Campus, along with representatives from both parties.

The signing of the MOU between NSSC and FPT University opens up strategic cooperation opportunities to promote the innovative startup ecosystem in the university sector. This agreement helps FPT strengthen its connection with national and international startup support resources, while also creating favorable conditions for students to develop ideas and realize startup projects. For NSSC, this is an important step in expanding its startup support network to the education sector, contributing to the discovery and incubation of potential startups right from the classroom.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ta Ngoc Cau – Deputy Director of FPT University, Hanoi Campus – emphasized the importance of innovative startup education in today’s higher education system. He shared: “Startup is a journey full of challenges, with a still modest success rate. However, if supported in the right way from an early stage, students can absolutely create innovative, highly applicable products and services. The collaboration with NSSC is a significant step to expand the scale and improve the quality of student startup activities.”

  • Establishing on-campus startup spaces – where students can research, test, and develop their ideas
  • Enhancing access to investment capital and specialized training for promising startup teams.

Mr. Cau also expressed hope that the two sides would continue to coordinate in implementing training activities, organizing idea playgrounds, and connecting students with domestic and international experts, especially venture capital funds, to realize potential startup projects.

On the NSSC side, Mr. Le Toan Thang affirmed: “We highly appreciate the spirit of innovation of FPT University students. This cooperation contributes to expanding the national innovative startup ecosystem to the university environment – the cradle for future creative and breakthrough ideas.”
