On the morning of March 18, 2025, Cao Bang Petroleum Company (Petrolimex Cao Bang/the Company) held the inauguration ceremony and affixed a commemorative plaque at its new office headquarters. The plaque marks the project as a tribute to the 70th anniversary of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/the Group).
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hoang Van Thach, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Nong Van Khuong, Deputy Director of the Cao Bang Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Van Su, Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), along with representatives from provincial departments, Group functional units, and leaders of member petroleum companies under Petrolimex.
The headquarters of Petrolimex Cao Bang is a modern and well-equipped structure, rebuilt on the site of the old, deteriorated office. The building consists of five floors and an attic, covering a construction area of 480 square meters, with a height of 26.4 meters and a total floor area of 2,222 square meters.
Construction began on April 19, 2023, and was completed on September 30, 2024, with a total investment exceeding VND 30 billion. After more than 18 months of construction, the new headquarters was officially handed over and put into operation on December 31, 2024, reaffirming its role in ensuring energy security in the northern border region of the country while contributing to the urban development of Cao Bang. This is the first representative project selected by the Group to bear the commemorative plaque marking the 70th anniversary of its establishment.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Ms. Dam Thi Bang, Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Director of Petrolimex Cao Bang, emphasized the significant importance of putting the new office headquarters into operation, as it facilitates the company’s efforts to enhance operational efficiency, better meet customer demands, and contribute to Cao Bang’s socio-economic development. In the coming period, the company will continue to build upon its achievements, constantly innovate, improve service quality, and strengthen its position to earn the trust of customers and the community. On behalf of the company’s leadership and employees, she expressed great honor and pride in having the headquarters as the first project selected by the Group to bear the commemorative plaque for the 70th anniversary of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (January 12, 1956 – January 12, 2026).
Deputy General Director of Petrolimex, Nguyen Van Su, acknowledged and commended the dedication of Petrolimex Cao Bang and its contractors, who demonstrated proactivity, commitment, and responsibility throughout the construction process, ensuring the project was completed on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality, aesthetics, and functionality. The inauguration of the new headquarters not only marks a milestone in Petrolimex Cao Bang’s development but also reflects the Group’s strategic vision for the northern mountainous market. The establishment of the new office further strengthens the image and credibility of Petrolimex in the local area, reaffirming its position as a key petroleum enterprise in Cao Bang province. He particularly praised the strict adherence to safety regulations, fire prevention measures, and environmental protection throughout the construction process. Additionally, he urged the company’s leadership and employees to continue fostering unity and innovation, improving service quality, expanding their business network, ensuring production safety, and utilizing the new headquarters effectively to contribute to the continued strengthening of the Petrolimex brand and the economic and social development of Cao Bang province.
