Shamba Pride is driving a wave of innovation in Kenya’s agricultural sector through a highly practical AgriTech model. This startup enables smallholder farmers to access agricultural inputs, markets, and credit services by connecting them with local dealers through its “Digishop” network – a digital-powered store system.
Beyond just input distribution, Digishop helps standardize transactions, shorten the supply chain, and eliminate unnecessary intermediaries, thereby increasing the actual income of rural farmers. With more than 60,000 farmers and 2,900 dealers participating in its ecosystem, Shamba Pride has generated a cumulative revenue of over USD 10 million and is maintaining a monthly revenue growth rate of over 10%.
Shamba Pride not only brings economic benefits but also promotes sustainable farming practices and technological access for agricultural communities often limited by infrastructure and information. Notably, by offering credit to dealers, the startup helps expand service capacity and strengthen the supply network at the local level.
At the P4G Vietnam 2025 Summit, Shamba Pride had the opportunity to participate in the startup exhibition zone with the support of the National Startup Support Center (NSSC). This was a crucial opportunity for the startup to engage with the international business community, connect with potential investors, and learn about cross-border market expansion strategies. Thanks to NSSC’s support, the company was able to showcase its unique AgriTech model tailored for Africa, explore international collaboration opportunities, access new technologies, and shape a sustainable development strategy on both regional and global levels.
Shamba Pride is now aiming to scale its operations into promising markets across Sub-Saharan Africa such as Uganda, Zambia, and Tanzania, with the goal of replicating its sustainable and effective farmer support model. The startup is a prime example of how combining technology with a deep understanding of local needs can deliver lasting, appropriate, and scalable solutions in agriculture.
